Movie Premier

I hope you all had a great July 4th weekend! I know I did.

I apologize because of my busy weekend I haven't been able to post, comment on blogs and reply to my comment. But I truly wish that this weekend went swell for you!

On the other hand, I mentioned that I have really been loving Jessica polishes. They are just so lovely!

So I left this creme-y smooth baby blue with just 1 coat. I didn't even want to touch it after 1 buttery coat. Who would've guessed this is 1 coat? Jessica polishes are so pigmented! It just blows my mind! I can't get enough of them!

Movie Premier is, like what I stated above, a light baby blue and almost seems a bit dusty but not quite. 1 coat for this baby and I can't get over it! I really hope that some of you purchase some of these Jessica's because they are truly worth the investment? (I mean, when isn't a great nail polish?) *Hint Hint* Maybe a Jessica giveaway?...

On the other hand, I just wanted to mention that my baby is turning 1 next month. Extremely happy and sad. He's growing so fast!

Well, I hope you have a great rest of the day!

Would you be interested in a Jessica giveaway?

Emerald Fitzgerald

I work tomorrow morning at 5 am. I hate and love it. It's too early, but it gets my work hours out of the way. Well, I hope that all of you are having a great week so far. School has been tough, but we only have 4 weeks left of Summer semester, so it's finally almost over! I have been swamped though lately, so I apologize for a delay in my posts.

But, this is what I have for you today!

This is 2 coats of China Glaze Emerald Fitzgerald. This is a deep dark green'ish blue with what almost looks like super fine glitter particles. In some angles, it also looks foily but for the part, you can't even tell. I have used this polish once before a long time ago, the formula was perfectly fine, and when I used it again thsi time, formula was a bit thick and seemed to pull at the edges of my nails. I am assuming, the consistency changed over time. I think this is a very pretty color but I am not in love with it, although I have been complimented while wearing it. What do you think of it?

Has the ChG polishes consistency changed over time for you?

China Glaze For Audrey Comparison/Dupe

Hola! It's Wednesday and I am super excited for this weekend. Tomorrow is my little family photo shoot, YAY! I can't wait! I have got to find something for my little guy to wear. And this Saturday, I'll be attending a wedding and have nothing to wear, so that'll be an adventure. I definitely need to find a day specifically only for homework. Maybe tomorrow morning/evening or Friday. Only 4 weeks of summer semester! Yay! I might be swamped with essays since I have 3 5 page essays plus a midterm and final all in 1 month. YAY (sarcasm) don't you just love school?

Oh, sorry for the last Twinsie post. As I reread it, I realized that it didn't make any kind of sense. I was sort of in a rush. Uberly sorry!

But today, I have this awesome ChG For Audrey comparison for you!

Left to right:
Barry M Blue Moon, China Glaze For Audrey, WnW I Need A Re-fresh Mint, Ulta Mint Condition

Ok, yeah. I know Barry M Blue Moon is way out of the picture. In my head, I was like "YEAH! Totally it could definitely go with For Audrey!" After I compared it, well... You can evidently see above the result.

So let's get on with it now since we've got that settled with. If you don't know, China Glaze For Audrey was created in tribute to Audrey Hepburn and Tiffany & Co. For Audrey was inspired and famous for that beautiful Tiffany Blue. I can't compare the 2 actual blues but from other photos that I have seen, they look pretty close. Although close, the famous Tiffany Blue has a color trademark so I'm sure it won't be dead on accurate.

I would say that Wet n Wild I Need A Refresh-mint is closest to China Glaze For Audrey. I Need A Refresh-mint is a tiny bit darker, but from a far, you could not be able to tell the difference. Mint Condition is slightly cooler and darker but pretty comparable still. However, the final verdict is WnW I Need A Refresh-mint. With that said, Walgreens is currently having a sale on $1.99 products for $.99! So I picked up this WnW baby for only $.99!

What do you think? Do you own any of these?

Blue Moon

Hopefully everyone had a great weekend!

Tomorrow is Monday, and summer classes start. No break from Spring semester unfortunately, but I'm sure (and it better be) worth it.

Today I have this pretty mani for you! Thanks to Abbie from AbbieNail. I received this in my first international swap. I wish we had Barry M in the states. Man! Actually there are so many polishes in the UK that the US is missing. How sad. For the UK readers, are there polishes here in the US that isn't easily accessible to you?

Showcased above is Barry M Blue Moon. This is such a beautiful glossy pale baby blue. It sort of is jelly-ish and quite sheer. For me, this mani required 3 coats. At 2 coats it was still streaky, so 3 did the trick. I love the way it looks. I'm not really a blue person kind of polish, but I can definitely do this one. The one thing I was a little disappointed by, as you can see in the last photo, there is a very slight blur-ply (blue-ish purple) shimmer to it in the bottle but did not transfer on the nail. Before swatching it, I knew already that it wasn't going to show up once I polished it on my nails. However, I really enjoy this color. I can't want to try out some more Barry M's.

What do you think? Do you own any Barry M polishes that you would suggest?
