China Glaze For Audrey Comparison/Dupe

Hola! It's Wednesday and I am super excited for this weekend. Tomorrow is my little family photo shoot, YAY! I can't wait! I have got to find something for my little guy to wear. And this Saturday, I'll be attending a wedding and have nothing to wear, so that'll be an adventure. I definitely need to find a day specifically only for homework. Maybe tomorrow morning/evening or Friday. Only 4 weeks of summer semester! Yay! I might be swamped with essays since I have 3 5 page essays plus a midterm and final all in 1 month. YAY (sarcasm) don't you just love school?

Oh, sorry for the last Twinsie post. As I reread it, I realized that it didn't make any kind of sense. I was sort of in a rush. Uberly sorry!

But today, I have this awesome ChG For Audrey comparison for you!

Left to right:
Barry M Blue Moon, China Glaze For Audrey, WnW I Need A Re-fresh Mint, Ulta Mint Condition

Ok, yeah. I know Barry M Blue Moon is way out of the picture. In my head, I was like "YEAH! Totally it could definitely go with For Audrey!" After I compared it, well... You can evidently see above the result.

So let's get on with it now since we've got that settled with. If you don't know, China Glaze For Audrey was created in tribute to Audrey Hepburn and Tiffany & Co. For Audrey was inspired and famous for that beautiful Tiffany Blue. I can't compare the 2 actual blues but from other photos that I have seen, they look pretty close. Although close, the famous Tiffany Blue has a color trademark so I'm sure it won't be dead on accurate.

I would say that Wet n Wild I Need A Refresh-mint is closest to China Glaze For Audrey. I Need A Refresh-mint is a tiny bit darker, but from a far, you could not be able to tell the difference. Mint Condition is slightly cooler and darker but pretty comparable still. However, the final verdict is WnW I Need A Refresh-mint. With that said, Walgreens is currently having a sale on $1.99 products for $.99! So I picked up this WnW baby for only $.99!

What do you think? Do you own any of these?

Comparison Dupe: Zoya and Sinful Colors

If you don’t know, I recently just purchased my first few bottles of Sinful Colors because Walgreens is having an awesome deal where they're only $.99, so check it out!! And so, I have heard (haven’t googled it or looked up) the rumor that Sinful Colors Kissy is very close to Zoya’s Charla. At first without looking at Charla, I thought: “no way could they look closely a like.” Then I went to the store, purchased it and sure enough when I compared the two, they were pretty close. I could definitely say dupe for this one.

Index & ring: SC Kissy
Middle & pinky: Zoya Charla

I could not believe it. Dupe for sure, in my opinion. From a far, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference but if you look closely at it, Kissy is a tiny bit darker than Charla, hence the fact that Kissy looks like it has a slightly darker base. I felt like the application for this one was a little goopy. I don't think you can see, but at the tips of my nails, they're a little clumped. Since this is my first time trying out Sinful Colors, I am not sure if it it was the specific polish or whatever it may be. Zoya is definitely more shiny on the nails and applied beautifully and easily. No complaints. With that said, the fact that Kissy was only for $.99 and Charla for about $8, I would recommend Kissy besides the fact it applied a little goopy. However, I still very fond of Charla.

Which one would you rather purchase?

ELF Comparison

So, I opened my tiny package from ELF today and as soon as I opened the up the conditioning lip balms in Blissful Berry and Nice and Natural, I immediately thought about the L'Oreal Infallible in Lindas Beige and Revlon Soft Rose. Id say they seem to be a little bit of dupes.

ELF Conditioning Lip Balm in Nice and Natural versus L'Oreal Infallible Lindas Beige
ELF Conditioning Lip Balm Blissful Berry vs Revlon Soft Nude

Top: Elf BB
2nd top: Revlon SF
3rd bottom: Elf N&N
Bottom: L'Oreal LB

They seem a bit similar eh? On to the swatches...
Indoor without flash ^

Indoor with flash^

Pros: ELF Lip Balms
-$3 US dollars
-There are always promotion coupons
-Non sticky formula
-Very pigmented for a lip balm
Cons: ELF Lip Balms
-White flash back in the pictures due to SPF 15
-Not many shade selections
-Pots are a bit tiny, may be hard to use your fingers
The Revlon Soft Nude (runs about $7-$8) is in deed a beautiful lipstick but to me seems to dry up my lips a tiny bit. The L'Oreal Infallible (runs $10-$12) stays on forever and claims to last up to 16 hours! You will need an oil based makeup remover to get this bad boy off. All L'Oreal Infallible Lipstains come a conditioning topcoat that is absolutely shiny and beautiful.

So if your looking for some what of a dupe, you should definitely check out the ELF lip balms. They dont break the bank! I actually love the lip balms more the Revlon lipstick. I do however LOVE the L'Oreal Infallible lip stain due to the long staying power. So it really depends on what you prefer.

What do you think?

I AM FINALLY DONE WITH FALL SEMESTER!
This semester and undoubtedly the next semester has been and will the hardest considering my little 4 month old. I won’t entirely be able to enjoy winter break since I am taking a class to cut my time so I can graduate sooner, however I will be 1 year and 1 semester behind (there’s a long story behind that). I am little disappointed in myself due to my grades but I am still so proud of myself for passing with a decent grade. I wonder how all these other mothers are making it with their little new borns while attending school; props to them because I struggled this semester. Now I have to kick up this Spring semester. Although I am disappointed, I will leave it in God’s hand. (=

Today was my wonderful day off work! I spent the afternoon with my lovely sister and browsed around a few stores and saw this little wall plague that said: “Faith makes things possible, not easy.” And I have to say that, this has been the 3rd time this week that I came across that saying. Lately, I have been stressing out about everything. But I have been really challenging myself, and I believe that He is too; challenging my faith in Him. It has been tough, but I know that He never fails, and NEVER slacks. So, continuing on I go.

Completely trusting in Him,
AHY
