Twinsie Tuesday: Seasonal Gradient

Instead of doing a "season"al gradient, I interpreted this a little different. As we know Valentine's Day is coming up soon! So here is what I have come up with.

I used Nubar Pink Creme with 3 coats. It applied a little uneven  and a little thin but knowing me, I was a little impatient, hence the reason you could see the pulling. None the less, I love me my Nubars! For the glitter, I used Esesie Beyond Cozy which is a gorgeous polish alone.

Inspired by Valentine's, I choose something a little elegant and sweet. Who doesn't love pinks, reds and all the wonderful hearts and love during this time?

Twinsie Tuesday: Something Blue

You know I love me some indies!

This is Hare Afterglow. I absolutely love and adore this combination of glitters with the blue base. However, the consistency of this polish was so thin. So very thin. Just this, took about 7 coats and obviously time in between to dry. This was also a lot more sheer than I thought it would be. Maybe I was a little impatient though, I so almost felt like I wanted to do a different blue polish but I love this one so much. One other thing that I couldn't get over was the fact that it kept pooling in my cuticles. And as a blogger, you all know how horrific that is. Besides the thin formula, I'm really loving this!

With that said, do any of you have a solution to fixing thin nail polish formulas?

A Week Of Pahlish: Little Caroline

 *Press Sample*

I absolutely adore Shannon from Pahlish. And unfortunately, these posts were suppose to be up sooner than I am posting them now. But life has been happening, and especially school. But for the next couple days, I will be sharing with you these beautiful creations from Pahlish. And if you haven't already tried any of her polishes, you are totally missing out because they are amazing!

Finally! I am confident that these pictures will post!

Pahlish Little Caroline. Smooth like butter! Amazing! The glitter, shimmer and jelly base in this polish is just amazing! I am in total awe!

Little Caroline is described as "an ultra squishy neon fuchsia jelly base loaded up with color shifting hex and squares. These squares shift from orange to green (the same color shift as flakie polishes like Nubar 2010 and Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure) and are accented by subtle gold and pink microshimmer."

I couldn't had said it any better!

If you haven't already and would like to try some Pahlish Polishes, you can purchase them here on Llarowe and/or Shannon's Etsy shop

Enjoy!

Pahlish Clanking of Crystal & Unlucky in Love

*Press Sample*

I have been so lucky to be able to review some Pahlish polishes! I cannot tell you how honored and grateful I am feeling right now.

And so today I bring to you 2 beautiful Pahlish polishes:

Totally random, but I never though that Internet Explorer would ever save this blogging life of mine. Also, I want to thank all my readers who left feedback and advice about my picture uploading problem. Thanks so much!

Clanking of Crystal and Unlucky in Love are such amazing polishes. The only thing is that I couldn't catch the true beauty of both polishes. My pictures seriously do no justice! You need these in real life. But the best part about these is that they applied like butter! Sometimes some polishes can get a little thick but I didn't have a single problem!

With that said, look forward to the rest of the Pahlish polishes I will be showcasing the rest of the week!

If you are interested in Pahlish polishes, you can purchases them here at Shannon's Etsy shop. You can also Like her facebook page to stay updated.

Twinsie Tuesday: A Polish Picked By Someone Else

So this week's challenge was a lot of fun. A polish picked by someone else. My son just totally rammed through entire collection and ended up with these 2. As you have seen him polish my nails before here, he had a lot of fun clinging them around.

Now onto the mani:

So the two here are: China Glaze Sunday Funday, from the new Spring Avant Garden Collection and Jordana LA City Nights. This glitter was really hard to work with because it was so sparse and it was very difficult to get the gradient effect to come through. However, I think it turned out not too shabby.

Oh and excuse that knick on the pinky, just pretend it's not there.

And not to mention, I absolutely love this shade of blue. Sunday Funday is an amazing and beautiful perfect blue with yellow undertones. And it covered perfectly in 2 coats. Plus, the formula was great.

Now, go check out my Twinsies' posts!

Twinsie Tuesday: Teenage-younger Polish

This is a polish that was gifted to me from ChiChi, a fellow Twinsie. And I have to say that I really enjoyed this polish! It's definitely a lot younger but it's different and fun!

This polish was one of thee worst polishes I have ever had to photo. I don't know why but green polishes just doesn't sit well with me.

This is Color Club Glitter Envy. It's a like a neon jelly green with small holo hex glitters throughout. I would never wear this on a day to day basis but I think that this is definitely something that I would've worn when I was much younger (considering, I'm still pretty young).

Something totally random, but when I was pregnant, looking at glitter polishes made me want to puke. Strange right? Because I absolutely love and adore glitter polishes now!

So what's one of your "younger" type of polishes?

Please be sure to check out some teenage looking manis!

More Darling Divas

*Press Sample*

These are the rest of the goodies that I am extremely excited to you guys! Carrie is one of the sweetest person I know and her polishes are always amazing. While all of her collections have always been amazing, this recent collection that she came out with just blows me out of the water. They're unique and nothing that I have seen around with other indies.

Cheer Bear

Care Bear Stare

Shadow Puppets

 Catherine

I have to say, I think that this is one of her most amazing collections thus far. There are glitter ones, a while based polish and a holo polish. And the best part yet is that they're different.

Of all the polishes in this collection, Catherine is seriously my favorite. Catherine isn't like your regular holo polish. It's super opaque and covered in one coat - except I did 2 just because. But the best part is that it has purple/blue iridescent glitters. Hopefully you are able to see it in the photo above. This was the only picture where I was able to catch the soft holo and the purple/blue iridescent glitters. Hopefully you get the gist of it. Unfortunately, this picture still does no justice. You really need this one in your life.

In conclusion, I am blown away by this collection. They applied like butter, and they're simply amazing. Not only is this collection perfect for Spring but for every season as well. Carrie's inspiration for this collection was a great idea and her interpretation of each bear turned out great.

If you're interested in these polishes or other Darling Diva Polishes you can visit her Etsy shop here. Her polishes retail between $8 -$12. I also highly recommend that you "Like" her Facebook page to keep updated on her shop and future polishes here as well as participate in her random giveaways there. So go check it out!

Darling Diva Grumpy Bear & Love A Lot Bear

I can never seem to get enough of some lovely Darling Diva Polishes! And to make a collection out of Care Bears. Seriously? Remember when we all looked forward to waking up in the morning just to watch Care Bear?! Those were the good old days where waking up to watch cartoons actually had good cartoons!

Now, onto some lovely Care Bears!

Love A Lot Bear 2 coats
This is a pink duochrome crellyish polish with various
sized white and holographic gold glitters with hot pink
hearts and red holographic hearts.

Grumpy Bear 2 coats over Sinful Colors Rainstorm
This is a periwinkle-y crelly duochrome base with various
sized white glitters along with pink and purple hearts.

I totally forgot to watermark, but that's really not the important thing right now.

Both of these are gorgeous and I think Love A Lot Bear and Grumpy Bear would really love these 2. I think Carrie did a great interpreting the colors for these 2 bears because these are gorgeous! Especially the duochrome, it's an amazing shift!

I really enjoyed these 2 and can't to show you the rest of this collection! But so far, I think these 2 are favorites. They're gorgeous colors with duochromes and a unique combination of glitter that would look great over all different kinds of different undies. There was a little bit of fishing required but very manageable.

I really love all of these and would really recommend them if you love duochromes and glitters! You can purchase other Darling Diva Polishes at her Etsy shop here. Her polishes retail between $8 -$12. You can also "Like" her Facebook page to keep updated on her shop and future polishes here

Whats your favorite from the collection so far?

Elevation Pahlish LE Duo

When these babies arrived in the mail, I was in awe. Seriously, these are gorgeous. But once I applied these on my nails, I was floored.

Elevation Pahlish Mount Carmel & Coral Pink Sand Dunes

Mount Carmel
Gorgeous chocolatey crelly brown filled with pinky gold glassflecks

Coral Pink Sand Dunes
Clear base filled with coral and pink glitters of all types
including circle and hex

I love these kind of polishes. The murky kind of muted colors filled with glitter/shimmer/glassfleck. I absolutely love this! When I applied Coral Pink Sand Dunes over Mount Carmel, I didn't even know that it had circle glitters. That made me love it even more! I have this thing for circle glitters and this one took me by surprise!

Both polishes applied like butter and are gorgeous!

These polishes were provided to me by Shannon from Pahlish. You can find her polishes here at her Etsy shop as well as Llarowe. You can also "Like" her Facebook to stay updated with her newest collections.

Gorgeous right?

I LOVE Care Bears! Unfortunately, this is my generation but I absolutely love Care Bears! And when I found out that Carrie from Darling Diva Polishes was inspired to create a collection from Care Bears, I could not wait to see what she came up with!

And today, I bring to you Darling Diva Good Luck Bear.

I absolutely adore this polish! I love the stars!  Good Luck Bear is a sheer jelly base with gold stars along with green and white glitters. Isn't this a great interpretation?

Darling Diva Care Bear (especially) for a Crow

This one truly deserves it's own post because it is so special!

Carrie from Darling Diva Polish made this especially for Lauri from CrowsToes. So the story goes like this: "Once upon a time there was a woman who didn't like Care Bears. So I made a polish for her:) hehehehe;)"

This one is seriously to die for. It's so different nothing like anything else I have ever swatched or own. It has a compilation of various colored hearts and flowers in a clear purple/blue shimmer base along with a scattering of black glitters for a lovely crow.

This polish is amazing! It's a bit sparse but I had not a single problem with the larger glitters. 2 smooth coats and the application was like butter! I love it so much!

The first time I used this, I used a creme blue polish but when I took the photos it really washed out the purpl'ish-blue shimmers, so I hope this super sheer jelly-wash blue gave you a better idea of how it really looks like.

Carrie, you did an amazing job! Lauri, what do you think?

How about you? Is this for you?

The Polish Bar Review

Again, I am so lucky to have been able to review another indie brand, The Polish Bar.

Janice is such a sweetheart and went out of her way to send these to me. So here, I bring you 3 of her lovelies!

2 coats of Shirley

2 coats of Butterfly Kisses

2 coats of Midnight Falls

Midnight Falls has definitely got to be my favorite out of the bunch. I wish I would've used a different base instead of black so you were able to see the black glitters in the black jelly base (or maybe, I should save that for another special day?)

Overall, I was pleasantly surprised to with these and really enjoyed them. I did find it a bit hard to polish on because the brush was a bit tiny and the glitter in the suspension base was a bit sparse. But I am sure with a regular sized bottle, the application would be perfect! Despite the sub-par application, I think these are lovely and would highly recommend them. And I think I might just purchase some of her goodies for myself!

You can find The Polish Bar polishes at Janice's shop here. Most of her polishes range from $8.50 and she has got a variety of different lovely polishes!

JENsations Winter Wonderland

This one deserves a special post of it's own.

I have seen her polishes around and have been lucky enough to review some! So here it is for you today, JENsations Winter Wonderland.

This is Winter Wonderland 1 coat over 2 coats of NOPI Nothing Kim-pares to Blue.

First things first, are Jen's star bottles not the cutest thing ever or what? And I admit, I absolutely adore this! Here in the Minnesota weather with about 3 feet of snow, this is totally Winter Wonderland. The iridescent glitter is just amazing! And the snowflakes, just a little bit of fishing but she included a little baggy of snowflakes! Isn't that awesome?!

Now looking back at this, I wish I had put more snowflakes but I seriously love this. Next time I have got to swatch it over black!

You can find JENsations here at her Etsy shop. Her polishes range from $8- $8.25. And she has a huge variety of different polishes!

Have you tried any JENsations yet?

KKCenterHK Glitter Review

Hello all!

This is the last of the section of the KKCenterHK goodies that I will be reviewing for you.

KKCenterHk is a online based shop that provide many wonderful different cosmetic products which vary from false eyelashes, wigs and makeup products. And this is another one of product that they kindly sent to me.

This one here is the black 3.0 mm laser glitter in LB100which you can find here.

The holo laser in this glitter is awesome. It was almost blinding, unfortunately, my pictures do it no justice. The glitters were very easy to use and easy to apply. The amount that came in the little jar, 10g was an exceptional amount. I highly recommend these if you love using glitter for nail art.

The only unfortunate thing is that if you try to franken or add this glitter to some kind of clear base, it bleeds. Otherwise, I think the price point and quality of this product is great! I recommend and would purchase it myself as I'm not one with any sort frankening skill.

You can purchased the 3.0 mm laser glitter here. And by using the coupon code "totheshowing10" you are eligible for a 10% discount off your purchase. The coupon code is god through January 31, 2013.

CrowsToes Christmas Collection Part 2

If you haven't already, check out part 1 here!

This was supposed to be posted on Monday but I am running a bit behind. My apologies. However, I hope that all of you had a great and Merry Christmas! I know I did!

After swatching Lauri's entire collection, I am truly in love and very impressed. Just take a look for yourself!

Her Goose Got Cooked

I absolutely love the unexpected pink hex glitters!

 Holly and Hellfire

This is 2 coats with no base.

Blue Christmas

Blurred shot.
The blue glitters almost look duochrome. Amazing

One coat over Zoya Dove. Impressive indeed!

 Making Christmas

Blurred shot.

One coat over Kim Konfidential. Look at those medium
hex glitters. Who'd thought of that?!

I am in love with all of these. The formula was great and best part is that they all dry smooth on the nails. Some glitters dry feeling very gritty but with just one coat of SV, it was perfectly smooth.

Now, I am serisously impressed with every single one of these polishes that she sent me. They are truly worth the $12-$13 you see in Llarowe and Overall Beauty, every single hard earned dime! Plus, Lauri is so sweet!

You can find CrowsToes at Llarowe and Overall Beauty. Also, CrowsToes will be available internationally starting January 2013. Better get your hands on these, because they are gonna fly!

Llarowe's exclusives are:
A Christmas Crow
Her Goose Got Cooked
Jingle Balls
Overall Beauty's exclusives are:
Bah F@#$%*g Humbug
Blue Christmas

Holly and Hellfire, Maxxed Out and Making Christmas will be available at both.

You can also follow Lauri's blog, The Polished Crow to keep updated with the newest collections, which speaking of, have you seen The Pleiades Collection?

Need some CrowToes in your life? Which ones?
