Darling Diva Polish D.M.S.R

*Press Sample*

D.M.S.R stands for Dance, Music, Sex, Romance. What a gorgeous polish and befitting name right? D.M.S.R. is a very soft light lavender creme base with a lot of different type of glitters; large, medium, and small purple hexagonal, medium blue, holo and purple butterfly glitters. It was very hard to capture but in real life, you are able to see very tiny micro holo glitters throughout, which just puts the cherry on top with this polish.

D.M.S.R. is really my cup of tea. Light jelly base with gorgeous glitters, I could never get enough of these type of polishes! Above shown are 3 coats. With 2 coats, it reached opacity but I love the jelly sandwiched look so I added another coat. None the less, it is gorgeous and perfect for the upcoming Spring season!

Twinsie Tuesday: East vs West Coast Swatch Off

Hopefully you all enjoy our swatch off!

I'm actually really located in the Midwest but I belong to the West part, so our challenge was to swatch our favorite shimmer. I was actually thinking of doing a Shimmer indie brand but I just received this in a swap so I was excited to swatch it!

Essie Pink-A-Boo. 2 smooth coats. It covered pretty well. The shimmer in this bottle is gorgeous, however, it's not as noticeable on the nail, especially when it is super bright out, the shimmer just looks white. But hopefully you can see the dimensions of the shimmer of the blurred bottle shot!

Gorgeous or what?!

A Week Of Pahlish: Little Caroline

 *Press Sample*

I absolutely adore Shannon from Pahlish. And unfortunately, these posts were suppose to be up sooner than I am posting them now. But life has been happening, and especially school. But for the next couple days, I will be sharing with you these beautiful creations from Pahlish. And if you haven't already tried any of her polishes, you are totally missing out because they are amazing!

Finally! I am confident that these pictures will post!

Pahlish Little Caroline. Smooth like butter! Amazing! The glitter, shimmer and jelly base in this polish is just amazing! I am in total awe!

Little Caroline is described as "an ultra squishy neon fuchsia jelly base loaded up with color shifting hex and squares. These squares shift from orange to green (the same color shift as flakie polishes like Nubar 2010 and Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure) and are accented by subtle gold and pink microshimmer."

I couldn't had said it any better!

If you haven't already and would like to try some Pahlish Polishes, you can purchase them here on Llarowe and/or Shannon's Etsy shop

Enjoy!

Different Dimension Review

Hello Thursday!

I am pretty excited to bring to you some Different Dimension polishes! These 3 are not from and specific collection but I must say that they are extremely gorgeous!

Doppelganger

Pink, iridescent and larget white hex glitters all mixed into a grey jelly base.
I actually really likethis one on it's own.

Scarlet and Grey

Source
And for some reason, Scarlet and Grey reminds me of Diet Coke.
Scarlet and Grey layered on top of Zoya Dove. I am truly in love with the large
red hex glitters. The only thing that was hard to manage was the I literally had to
fish out the large red glitters. I have to say though, it was well worth it!

Gumdrops

Surprisingly, Gumdrops is my favorite out of the bunch. I love the red, purple
and blue mediumglitters mixed in with the other small glitters.
It's so perfect all together! I didn't think I'd like this one as much
but I think it'll be going into my top 10 or 2012.

All three polishes were easy to apply. The first 2 were a bit thick but polish thinner worked great. The application and formula were very easy to work with as well.

Overall, I love these! I have actually been wanting to try these for sometime now and I am so glad that I did! The formula was easily fixable, the customer service was great and the shipping was fast! As well as packaging! I definitely love indies with this kind of service!

You can purchase Different Dimension polishes at her Etsy shop here for $8.50. You can also "like" her facebook page for updates on her polishes.

Which one is your favorite?

Twinsie Tuesday: Indie Brand (Mini Review)

As the title says, this weeks theme is: indie brand!

I am so excited about this post because I love me some indie polishes. I mean, who doesn't? Since I have been bitten by the indie bug, I have been having this problem of purchasing and really need to slow it down.

So today I present to you 2Chix Sweet Cheeks. Sweet Cheeks was a sample deal if I pre-ordered The Teal Thing and it was a lovely surprise! And it's a cute mini bottle.

Sweet Cheeks is a white almost jelly base with pink and purple matter hex glitters in various sizes. The application was quite easy and covered in 2 coats.

When I received my polishes, there was one that I thought that she mislabeled. When I contacted her, she responded that it was not mislabeled and due to her fluorescent lighting, the polishes look different in real life. I replied that it seemed as though I felt I was a bit misled since there was nothing stating that the polish may be different in real life. She was so sweet about it and would be willing to replace the bottle. I am very pleased with my experience despite the fact that it takes about 3 weeks for shipping and this little bump I really love her creations and when they have awesome customer service.

You can also check out her lovely goodnesses here

So sorry, this became like a mini review.

Anyhow, I hope you enjoyed this mani!

Darling Diva Polish Regulus Review

So, I wanted to wait to do some reviews on the lovely Darling Diva Polishes since I cut my nails down to nubbins this past weekend, but I just could not wait to show you some of her lovelies! I was so excited, yes, very!

And if you haven't already seen my previous DDP review, you can check it out here!

My new polish bestie, Carrie from Darling Diva Polish and I have been exchanging emails and texts and have met up a few times, and I can not even explain to you how sweet she is! We polish talked for over hours! Seriously! Not to mention, she has a stash to die for! I'm not joking! Like melmers full of Deborah Lippmans and hard-to-find OPI's and China Glaze's. I sat there and petted (is that even a word?) her lovelies. Oh and I died a little over there - I was in polish heaven!

Now I'm totally getting side-tracked. Sorry.

This gem here is Regulus. Regulus is a part of her Halloween collection inspired by the true Wiccans colors. Regulus is the guiding star for the Guardian of the Watchtower of the South. Primary Element of Fire.

Playing with the lighting. Check out those purple iridescent glitters!

Regulus is a reddish jelly base jam packed with purple iridescent glitters and green glitter squares. There are also large red hexes interspersed throughout. This was only 2 smooth and buttery coats with no base/underwear. I topped this off with Bettina Base/top coat. Isn't she lovely? Check out those red hexes!

This one is definitely one of my favorites. The red jelly base, purple iridescent glitters, large red hexes and it applied like a dream! It just can not get any better! And I love how the green square glitters almost look black but they're really not. Need I say more? Seriously, glitter-jelly goodness!

The best part is yet to come!

You can purchase Darling Diva Polishes at her Etsy shop here for only $8! Some are $12. But seriously, an awesome indie for $8, that doesn't come around enough.

You can also "Like" her Facebook page to keep updated on her shop and future polishes here. Also, she is having a 1000 Likes on Facebook giveaway which you can enter here, and her prizes are pretty awesome. They include 5 prizes:

  • 1st Prize will be a $50 gc to Caribou Coffee (or Starbucks, pick your poison:) and 5 polishes of your choosing from my available stock this will include polishes not currently offered for sale if I have them

  • 3rd Prize $15 gc and 3 polishes

Now if I were you, I'd head over there now!

Royal Navy

First off, I wanna say congrats to my brother! He made 4th place in regionals and will be going to sectionals! If he is awesome-sauce enough at sectionals, he will be going to state! Sorry, if you're wondering he is in varsity track and does the hurdling. Funny story: while at the track meet, my dad kept asking why is it called turtle? We explained it was hurdle, hopefully he got the difference. And I didn't get to take family pictures because my sister forgot. However, the weather was just super weird. It was sunny and warm but super windy, and to top it off, it was warm wind. Yuck. And lastly, I bought a new laptop! Yay! Since we didn't take family pictures, here's one at the track.

The sun was really bright for his eyes.

Now, off to the polish! Today, I have Orly Royal Navy for you. And I have to say, that this has been added to my "favorite list". It's so awesome.

Oh. Why hello there!

I am so very glad I found this at my Sally's. It was sort of hidden. I thought it was just another royal navy looking blue. I'm glad I picked it up and looked at it, because it is so beautiful! Because just look at all that goodness. Royal Navy is an awesome blue-cobalt-jelly-juicy-squishy looking kind of polish with turquiose almost kind of green micro-glitter. Really, there's not much to say about it. It's breathtaking. I'll admit, I think I'm obsessed.

What's your favorite Orly?

Zoya Gemma

Good last night of my Spring break Friday!

I'm preparing for a funeral this weekend and my husband asked me if I could paint a solid color (for the weekend). I think maybe just a day. The weekend is the only time where I can do my nails. So we will see how that goes. However this is what I have on for today - maybe tomorrow. I wasn't able to catch any sun to talk color accurate photos since it was a long busy day, but the picture of the polish is pretty close.

I thought this color combo is just super strange. Its a jelly, muted olive green base with a subtle blue and violet duochrome shimmer. I have never seem green, blue and violet together. Have you? For this, I used 3 coats and that was just ok. I think 4 would've looked much better and not so patchy. I think it's ok color definitely not one of favorites, but not every polish can be your favorite. Well, with that said, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

What do you think of the color combo?
