Blue Ranger

This one is the fraternal brother to a previous green version franken that I made a while ago. Except this time, this one is blue.

I named (actually the Hubby) named the green one Green Ranger after I blogged about so in light of that one, I thought Blue Ranger was the perfect name!

If you have ever frankened before, you would know that it is time consuming and it takes a lot of effort. It's more than throwing different glitters and polish together but it's making a masterpiece! And I think this may be one.

It was so hard to capture the shimmer and glitter. In the second picture, the camera couldn't make up it's mind and resulted with this slightly blurry one. But hopefully you'll get the point.

I frankened this one in the new Wet n Wild bottles and I hate those brushes. I haven't been able to come across a decent one yet, unfortunately.

As with Green Ranger, Blue Ranger has a minimal amount of glitter and shimmer. I love glitter but I don't like to add too much - at least in my frankens. This was opaque in 2 coats. I think I could have added an extra top coat to gloss it up and smooth it out but I am pretty happy with this.

What do you think?

Wing Zero

Happy Saturday!

Yesterday was such a beautiful day! Hopefully today is just as bright. Well, today I bring you another franken! My husband helped me name all of my franken polishes (so thanks husband, I know you'll be reading this sometime soon). Hopefully you're not getting bored of my frankens.

My husband said that this reminded of space, that's how he came up with Wing Zero - I think it's a pretty awesome name.  Anywho, I wish I was able to capture the true beauty of this polish in pictures. But I think this is so beautiful! It has purple/blue/gold/pink shimmers with slightly larger glitters. Just so beautiful. I think this turned out great. I wish I did a regular black base coat. Once I applied the 2 coat, the larger glitters sort of got lost. However, I am still enjoying this.

No Name Franken

I should really be working on my paper right now, but I'm just not feeling motivated. Only 1 more page to write and I'll be finished with it. Is it just me? Because I truly hate writing papers, and hate is a very strong word.

Now on to the franken. I was just messing around and came up with this. I feel like it's such a mystery when it comes to frankening. It's like a hit or miss. And believe me, I have had tons of misses unfortunately. But this one, I feel like it turned out great!

Here's a bottle shot of the delicious goodness.

This franken has no name but I am in love with this concoction. I wish I would've added more glitter, but none the less,  I am proud to say that I frankended this! At first, I was afraid to add the glitter because like many other polishes I have seen, I didn't want the glitter buried under the nail polish - that's just not cool to me. But it turned out to be gorgeous (or so I think) and I am really glad I decided to add the glitter. Anywho, this bad boy was 2 awesome opaque coats. And please excuse the stains at the tip of the nails. I was frankening other polishes and got it all over this mani. But I hope you are enjoying this as much as I am!

What do you think? Have any names in mind?

Twinsie Tuesday: Franken Polish

This week’s Twinsie Tuesday Challenge: franken polish.

Firstly, I want to thank Amanda at Amandalandish and all the rest of the talented bloggers for allowing me to be a part of Twinsie Tuesday. I cannot stress how honored I feel to be involved with this! So thanks again!

I actually didn’t own a single franken polish until I was put to this challenge. I then began experimenting with a few polishes that I don’t use and came up with a few of my very first frankened polishes. I was having so much fun! I could not believe that I have never tried this before. I admit it’s a tiny bit challenging but so rewarding when you’re finally able to pick up that polish and stare at it in awe! With that said, this is what I came up.

The picture seriously does no justice. There are very tiny purple glitters that you can’t see and it really just adds to the polish. I really love the color. It looks really elegant and definitely something I don’t already own. I used 3 coats. Easily, it could’ve been 2 coats but I wanted it to look perfect!

I started out with the bottle filled with a topcoat ¼ of the way. I then added a black based polish that contained very tiny purple glitter then added a shimmery nude to help lighten the color. Lastly, I added a gold glitter polish and voila!

Anywho, I really hope you enjoyed this because I did! What do you think?
