Vintage Looking Much

I did a purple version of this one a long while ago before I seriously started blogging and I wanted to redo this with a different color.

I used China Glaze For Audrey and Revlon Sheer Seafoam. I wish I would have used a darker color so that once Sheer Foam was added on top, you can actually see the gradient effect. Hopefully I will be able to execute this mani perfectly next time. And sorry for the half nekkid nails!

Now I'm not sure what to call this type of mani so, any ideas?

Emerald

Just something simple for today's post.

But first of all, I want to thank all my readers and commenters. You have been so kind, in fact too hard to continue reading and commenting on blog while I was gone. I truly appreciate your interaction with my blog and I! It means so much to me! So thank you very  much.

Now this polish, I have had for a while and am just finally getting around to using it.

Revlon Emerald is like a dusty creme green kind of polish. I am impressed by the application and opacity, as this was only 2 coats. 1 did the trick but 2 was perfection. I really enjoy this soft and vibrant color. It's a really nice for a transition sort of color and even great for Summer and Spring if you don't like the super bright colors.

What do you think? What are some of your favorite greens?

Twinsie Tuesday: Patriotic

This week's Twinsie Challange: Patriotic mani in honor of July 4th.

This one has got to be one of my least favorites. 1. I'm not much of a patriotic person. 2. I felt so limited. I didn't even like the one that I came up with.

Here it is. It's a mess and definitely not my best.

For the red, I used Ulta Non-stop Red, for the blue I used Revlon First class, then I used an acrylic white paint and Sinful Colors Queen Beauty for the glitter. I free handed the half moon so I hope it looks ok.

With that, Happy July 4th to all the Americans!

How does you patriotic mani look like?

First Class

Hopefully all of you are having a great weekend! I went to the drive in theater with my family Friday night and man it was cold! Anywho, I wanted to share a picture of my boss man:

He had his own little chair. Not that he could sit much in it, but I thought he looked so darling cute! We also barbequed. While barbeque'ing my nephew who is 5 years old wanted to feed my son but I said no, then my younger nephew stated "Auntie Anna, if he eats hot dog, then he will die right?" I just giggled and explained to him that he wouldn't die but something bad could happen. Oh the little minds of little ones!

Anywho! I've got this Revlon Target exclusive for you! This was 1 smooth opaque creamy coat. First Class is a nice dusty blue. I could not believe at how opaque it is!

I'm not much of a blue polish kind of person but I have been wanting to expand my horizon, or rainbow? And this is a perfect blue. I love it against my skin tone. Look at how shiny it is. 1 coat and 1 top coat and viola! Perfection!

Do you own First Class? Or would like to own it?

Smoldering

Only a month and half of school left. I am totally ready for summer break!

Well, happy Monday sort of. Today, I have a new polish that I just purchased over the weekend at Ulta when they had their 40% off sale. So here it is Revlon Smoldering.

Smoldering is is like a metallic-chrome frost with a grey base. It has swirls of really fine, foily shimmer. The picture do no justice but at different angles, you are able to see like the hints or teal/green and sometimes even pink. In real life, it is so much prettier! This was 3 coats. 2 would have been ok but my husband suggested 3 so I did that, which I barely ever do. The formula was not too thick or runny. Just perfect!

So what do you think of Smoldering? Do you own it?

Weekend Mini Haul

This weekend seemed like it went by way too fast. How sad.

First off, I'm sort of sad because I didn't have time to do any Easter nails. So happy belated Easter to those celebrate the day that Jesus rose from death to life. Maybe next year I'll have something special! In the mean time, I have a tiny haul to share with you all.

My total for 3 Revlon lip butters, 1 EOS lip blam and a Revlon polish came up to be only $15.27. I actually went to Ulta because they were have an awesome sale for Revlon, Almay and Physicians Forlmula and look at this awesome deal! Good deal you think?

I am super excited that I spotted the LE Wet n Wild collections! I can't tell you how lucky I felt considering the fact that the Midwest barely ever gets anything. Anywho, I only purchased the Fauna collection because I felt like the colors were more wearable. Then I finally found Downtown Browns! I never thought I was ever going to get my hands on these, but I'm glad I did. This palette has such beautiful purple and browns. This is definitely a palette worth investing. Unfortunately, unlike regular WnW 8 pan palettes are $4.99, all of the Black Radiance 8 pan palettes are $6.99. Bummer, however WnW has great pigmention considering the price. Well, I hope you can get your hands on these!

Did you buy anything over the weekend?

Whimsical Cinderella

Good Thursday today! Tomorrow is finally Friday! Yay!

It's about 11:29 and I have class at 1. I am so tired! Today, my son woke up at 6:30 (which he never does) and he just wanted to hang out. I obviously have no choice but to accompany him. And now, that hour is catching up and I KNOW I will super tired in class. Anywho, on to the goodness.

First, I am sorry for the yucky photos. It was hard because we haven't seen any sun here for the past few days, So I worked with what I had - and that wasn't a lot.

Can you tell what beautiful polishes I used for this manicure? Well, for the base, I used 1 coat of Sinful Colors Cinderella, 2 coats of Revlon Whimsical then 2 coats of Out The Door in attempt to achieve a smooth top coat. So, what do you think? I personally really love they way it looks. Somehow it seems so magical. On the other hand, I feel like blue is such an odd color to hand on my nails. Maybe I'm just not used to it. However, I am really enjoying this mani!

What do you think of the combo - though you can barely see Cinderella?
Anna

By the way, have any of you used Whimsical? How was the removal process?

Old Polish: Purple Vintage

I can't seem to recall where I saw a photo with a very similar design hence the fact that that was where this design came from. However, I really enjoyed this mani when I had it done. It almost looks vintage!

I used Revlon No Shrinking Voilet then with a jelly polish I added Sally Hansen Salon Manicure in Shell We Dance? I really LOVE the Salon Manicure but it's a little pricey for a drugstore polish. For a couple cents more, I could already purchase an OPI polish. Anywho, I hope you enjoyed this mani!

Do you think it's a little vintage?
