Twinsie Tuesday: Fugly Color

This weeks challenge was pretty simple: fugly color.

Firstly, it was hard since I already posted a polish that I truly did not like a while ago and I haven't really encountered one since. So, for this challenge I choose a polish that I really didn't like but it worked and it looks ok as a polish. I do think that it's a nice polish but I have to say that it's not a polish I would reach for again.

Ok, so it's not the pink but the glitter top coat. For this mani, I used Wet n Wild Fergie Tonight's Gonna Be A Night. It was a thick formula but polish thinner did the trick! I really loved it in the bottle but not so much on my nails. I wish I would've looked up some swatches before purchasing. But it's almost the same as, you know? When you go shopping and you see something that looks totally awesome but once you try it on, you're thinking like "what?!". Well yeah, that was definitely me when I tried this one on.

For the base, I used 1coat of Sally Hansen CSM Back to the Fushcia. I absolutely love this color. The formula and especially the wide brush. It's just lovely!

So what do you think? Do you own this bottle?

  1. Yeah, I agree, that's a messy glitter. But the base is lovely!

  2. I totally agree with you on the Fergie glitter. It looks so cool in the bottle but was kinda disappointing once it was on my nail =( Loving the pink though!

  3. I haven't tried to Fergie Line yet, but this looks pretty sparse!

  4. LOL, that glitter reminds me of ants on a tablecloth carrying away crumbles ;)

  5. The base color you chose is amazing...I can understand the glitter as your Fugly choice, and I am normal crazy over black glitters O_o

  10. I have this Fergie polish and i love it ;) the funny part of this post is that my husband always refers to Fergie as "Fuggie" (you know, cuz we sit around all day talking about the Black Eyed Peas ;) but seriously, whenever she comes up, thats what he calls her (for the record, i dont think she is fugly...)

  11. Buyer's remorse. I know the feeling. I agree. It's a bit disappointing.

  12. Eh, I agree. This is a tad disappointing on the nail. It kind of reminds me of a poppy seed bagel lol :)

  13. I got this glitter only because of my "need" for black glitters. I've only used it once.

  14. I got this! I haven't used it yet, but I thought it looked great in the bottle.

  15. Aww, I think it's cute! I could see this looking totally glam over a nice dark base. :)

  16. This really isn't bad at all! I don't think I'd call this "fugly", but I agree that this might not be something I'd reach for.

  17. While it's not something I would reach for, I like it on you.

  18. I have to admit, I really like it! It probably looked a lot more amazing in the bottle, though. I have a couple of untried Fergies--hope they don't disappoint!
