A SHIMMER-y Review

First off, I hope that everyone had a great Christmas. Mine on the other hand was very memorable. So I will ramble a bit. We usually do Christmas at my sister's. While preparing to leave back home from my sisters, we put all of our gifts in a white trash bag so it could easily be transported. While taking out the trash, the husband accidentally threw out our Christmas gifts. By the time I realized, we weren't able to save it. Then the day after Christmas, I caught the stomach flu from my brother. And as I prepare this post (Thursday), I just got my wisdom tooth pulled because the pain was no longer bearable. Now, from the Vicodin meds, I have a fever. What a week so far right? Well, I hope yours is much better.

 Anywho, onto a happy post!

I have been so lucky to have been contacted by Cindy from Shimmer Polish to do a review. There will be another post to come! So please stay tuned for that!

 Trisha

I don't like the base I used for Trisha, so you will be seeing another swatch of that in part 2.

However, I am seriously in love with all of these! The formula and application was a breeze, simply perfect! And they dried smooth without a top coat! I love glitters like that!

I am floored by each and every one of her polishes. I feel like each bottle is so unique and special. Like she really takes time to create and mix her polishes which to me, makes me feel like they are that much more special.

After having a wonderful experience with these, I swapped with one of my Twinsies and now I have more lovely Shimmer Polishes to show you all. So keep your eyes out!

Need some Shimmers in your life? You can find Shimmer Polish for $12.00 at her Etsy shop here. You can follow her blog here as well as her Facebook to stay updated about newly released polishes.

What're some of your favorites so far?

CrowsToes Christmas Collection Part 2

If you haven't already, check out part 1 here!

This was supposed to be posted on Monday but I am running a bit behind. My apologies. However, I hope that all of you had a great and Merry Christmas! I know I did!

After swatching Lauri's entire collection, I am truly in love and very impressed. Just take a look for yourself!

Her Goose Got Cooked

I absolutely love the unexpected pink hex glitters!

 Holly and Hellfire

This is 2 coats with no base.

Blue Christmas

Blurred shot.
The blue glitters almost look duochrome. Amazing

One coat over Zoya Dove. Impressive indeed!

 Making Christmas

Blurred shot.

One coat over Kim Konfidential. Look at those medium
hex glitters. Who'd thought of that?!

I am in love with all of these. The formula was great and best part is that they all dry smooth on the nails. Some glitters dry feeling very gritty but with just one coat of SV, it was perfectly smooth.

Now, I am serisously impressed with every single one of these polishes that she sent me. They are truly worth the $12-$13 you see in Llarowe and Overall Beauty, every single hard earned dime! Plus, Lauri is so sweet!

You can find CrowsToes at Llarowe and Overall Beauty. Also, CrowsToes will be available internationally starting January 2013. Better get your hands on these, because they are gonna fly!

Llarowe's exclusives are:
A Christmas Crow
Her Goose Got Cooked

Twinsie Tuesday: Christmas Inspired

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone!

And sorry for missing last week's post. I am however happy to tell you that I am pretty happy'ish with my grades this semester! And, I am finally back on regular blog schedule! Woo-hoo!

As you can see, today's challenge is a Christmas inspired mani. And for some reason, I had a very hard time coming up with something. When all of a sudden, I remember seeing a Christmas mani on someone's blog and I decided to do it myself. Unfortunately, I can't remember who, so if you know, please leave a comment below!

Also, I want to give a warm welcome to our newest Twinsie addition: Jamie from Polish, Please!

I absolutely loved the color combination when I saw this mani on her blog. I knew I had to do it myself, and here it is! It's probably not as awesome as hers, but to each their own!

Well, I hope everyone has a happy holiday!

CrowsToes Christmas Collection Part 1

I was ecstatic when Lauri emailed me saying she'd send me her entire Christmas collection to review. Seriously, you don't even know how excited I was! Now, I hope I won't let her down. Please do excuse the lighting all while I figure it out. Thanks in advance!

Maxxed Out

I seriously have a treasure chest on my finger tips!

Bah F@#$%*G Humbug

 Jingle Balls

I absolutely love the starts. It's like the extra cherry on top. Amazing I tell you.
And I didn't have to fish any thing out!

A Christmas Crow

I think this is the favorite of the bunch. Look at all that glitter. It's. So. Pretty.
And the best part is that, the glassfleck glitter is visible on the nails!! Unlike so many
other polishes where the glitter/glassfleck gets lost, this one it gorgeous.

For my very first time with CrowsToes, I can't even tell you how amazing each of these were. The formula and application was perfect. The glitters are amazing and, what else do I need to tell you? Just go get some!

Part 2 of this collection will be coming up tomorrow! So please look out for it because you won't want to miss it!

You can find CrowsToes at Llarowe and Overall Beauty. Also, CrowsToes will be available internationally starting January 2013. Better get your hands on these, because they are gonna fly!

007 + Giveaway Reminder

In honor of James Bond, I have come up with this manicure which I absolutely love. I hope you love it just as much as I do!

I hope you are able to see the little gun. I was inspired by this picture:

I used a basic black polish and Goldeneye from the OPI Skyfall collection and I can't even tell you how amazingly gorgeous that polish is. Unfortunately, it doesn't work well with my skin tone and that will going to my swap pile.

I don't know about you but I'm actually not really a James Bond fan. I have never seen a single James Bond movie, but if you're interested, and are a Bond fan, check out the top 5 grossing Bond movies. $900 million dollars? That is crazy. It's making me wonder if I'm missing out on something.

By the way, can you believe that Christmas is only 3 days away?! This month has definitely gone by!

What do you think? Are you a Bond fan?

And don't forget to check out my 555 followers giveaway! There are only 3 more days to enter! I'm getting the jitters already!

Zoya's New Invention: Matte Glitter Polish Promo Pictures

This is pretty cool and out of Zoya's comfort zone right? This collection is suppose be about texture, matte and glitter. Something different coming from Zoya.

 Dahlia

Godiva

Chyna

London

Nyx

Vespa

They look sort of gritty to me. Any one else getting that feeling? I'm more of a smooth finish kind of person. So what do you think? Do they remind you of the OPI Mariah Carey collection? I guess they're trying to make this the new trend.

Is this your style? Ideas, thoughts?
